Was Franklin Delano Roosevelt the last great Democrat President?

I am typically libertarian minded because I have ideas that both political parties hold and there are not too many great politicians in either party, nowadays. Plus, the Democrat Party is too far left nowadays and it was infiltrated by anti-American Marxists around the 1950′s. The Republican Party was infiltrated in recent times by corporations and religious fundamentalists. However, if I lived in the time of FDR, I would have been a dedicated Democrat and I would have voted for him every time he ran for President. Roosevelt set this country back on track after the Great Depression and his excellent leadership during WWII set him on the track to being one of the greatest US Presidents in history. He was stricken by Polio as a younger adult, yet, you would not notice it when he appeared in public, and he was a very, very strong leader who helped make this country the superpower it is today. I wish we would have another President with the same great leadership skills that Roosevelt had.

When will I see the light? Call me more abusive names, then maybe I like to join your side?

I swear, I have been called more nasty names, but have seen A lot LESS reasons, thinking, links, or some kind of clue as to WHY-
…I ask a reasonable question, and get called inflamatory names- this is immature and another clear example of poor leadership skills-

first -just stop it-
second – have you read ? the Yahoo Answers terms of Service and community guidelines- because you are in violation (for being vile)
third- your no longer in the “winning” team, cheating, name calling, lying or just living in denial-
the people who know the truth will pick out everything your doing wrong at each turn of the “mile” – throwing a fit is so babyish-
but I know there is a lot of immature people here who tend to make the cooler heads look bad-

I have many right-sided friends who also are very cool-headed and propose a good argument- that is fine by me-

the name-callers are all going to be sighted- I encourage all who agree- right or left, to “flag” those with the vile insults

Is Obama “election” just another bubble?

After all the bubbles (internet, stock market, real estate) we have a new bubble – The Obama Bubble.

Obama has no legitimate intellect, no leadership skills, no track record except getting elected by the naive, etc

All the bubbles start when at least 50% believe the hype. Since it is unlikely the number go much higher this bubble will be short-lived and probably the most dangerous!

Can I get a second opinion on my paper, I have proof read it twice I would like a second opinion

It seems community policing is more effective in the 21st century more than traditional policing. Based on the Lilley and Hinduja (2006) article, community policing believes in good customer service and showing leadership skills. These are qualities and skills police officers all should have in order to exemplify good leadership in public safety.

As started in the article, police officers in a community policing agency is evaluated on their customer service skills. Community policing is effective in many ways. First, if a police officer who shows good customer service skills towards civilians in return civilians will be willing to cooperate with the assisting the police officer. Second, evaluating how quickly police officers solve their cases is also a building a strong trust within the community. This shows good leadership skills by handling cases in a quickly and timely manner. The traditional model appears to focus on customer service less making the community less trusting and cooperative with police officers.

A police department with police officers who shows great leadership skills makes the community see them as proficient and dependable. A police department does not show good leadership can cause a public safety problem within the community. If a police officer lacks in leadership skills he can lose control in a situation, or not be able to gain control of the situation. This can also cause the community to have lack of confidence within the police department this can lead to tension between the community and the authorities.

Involving the community is also a good way for police officers to connect with the community. Connecting with the community is important because they are the people who see what goes on when the authorities are not present. A police department that is able to relate and understand the community’s concerns and issues can be more effective in problem solving crimes within the community efficiently.

The criminal justice system has evolved over time meaning more contemporary ways of policing needs to be used to keep with the times and provide public safety. Community policing seems to have a more effective of impact than the traditional system in achieving it main goal to keep public order in the community, but have the community’s trust and support.
