I was in the LAPD selection process but I got rejected at the psychological review which was the last one. Basically the psychologist rejected me for being too honest and three other things: (1)lack of leadership skill, (2)killed a hamster when I was 13, and (3)my failed suicide attempt when I was 19. I am 37 years old, mature and I’ve changed but they still think this is important. Can somebody help me become a LAPD officer? I am thinking maybe a help from high ranking officer within the LAPD department or somebody with strong ties with LAPD? I am 37 year old bi-lingual with bachelor’s degree and high morals and becoming a LAPD officer is a world to me. Thanks alot.
You are right. Most law enforcement agencies have age limit but LAPD doesn’t have it according to couple of recruits I talked to.

From the way you described yourself here, I would say that you are definitely not a good candidate. Anyone who attempted suicide is not really mentally stable. Police officer’s need to have high morals and emotional stability.
Plus, I thought the age limit to recruit new police cadets was 34 year’s old.

For example police officers have high ranking official in few years.

For one and the suicide attempt most likely the age limits but yes you were too honest for one and the dept or city police officers have any age limits.
